Born from a collaboration with the head chef of Kuidaore, a famous Osaka restaurant named after the local delicacy “kuidaore” (meaning to indulge in food to excess), the Osaka Dotonbori Kuidaore Curry is a tribute to this iconic part of Osaka’s food scene. We visited the head chef countless times, working together late into the night to perfect this curry.

The result is a luxurious curry made with domestic beef and vegetables, rich with the fragrant flavors of spices — a beloved, traditional taste. Both the packaging and its contents brings a nostalgic feeling.

The spirit of Kuidaore, which brought together Osaka’s vibrant food culture and became a legendary symbol of the city, lives on in this dish. The beloved figure of “Kuidaore Taro,” a clown character who once greeted customers at the Kuidaore restaurant in Dotonbori, continues to thrive as a symbol of this iconic establishment. Late into the night, alongside the head chef, we poured our passion into crafting this curry, infusing it with the nostalgic flavors of the past and the essence of Showa-era cuisine.
