【A bottle coaster of the exquisite art of metal carving artisans】
A bottle coaster shaped like Mt. Fuji
Only available in stainless-steel silver.
The upper surface is engraved with chrysanthemums, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, peonies, azaleas, and other floral patterns that color Japan's four seasons.
The flowing line going from the top to the foot of Mt. Fuji and the faint shadows generated through a micromanufacturing process create a different effect depending on the angle they are hit by the light, bringing a subtle radiance and a quiet elegance to the table.
A gift with a design that incorporates Mt. Fuji and floral patterns characteristic of the Japanese taste, perfect for any occasion: from birthdays and anniversaries, to travel mementos and wedding gifts.
While we originally specialize in the production of toothbrush molds in the Japanese city of Yao, Osaka Prefecture, this bottle coaster is our first original product.
We have perfected our manufacturing technique through our experience in mold manufacturing and we are able to carefully craft from circular-shaped stainless-steel raw material.
In the course of the process, the blade thickness of the carving machine is changed multiple times in units of 1micron (0.001mm) according to the masterful sensibility of the artisans, to make infinitesimal changes to maintain the thickness of the design uniform throughout the delicate floral pattern.
The final part of the process involves the delicate mirror polishing craftsmanship of an artisan who has received the "Naniwa Master Craftsman" award from the Governor of Osaka Prefecture for this technique. Close attention is paid not to alter the delicate floral patterns, while any small scratches left during the carving process are carefully hand-polished one by one to achieve a highly refined finish.
