From the GMW-B5000, GM-B2100, and GMC-B2100, which inherits the octagonal form of the first generation G-SHOCK model "DW-5000C", it uses its iconic octagonal top bezel. The striking black in the silver emphasizes the iconic strength of G-SHOCK, while the monotone design is easy to match with a wide range of styles. The GMW-B5000BT features a mirror finish on the top bezel and a silver vapor deposited part of the glass that adds subtle shine to the tough style. The GM-B2100BT and GMC-B2100BT feature a hairline finish on the top bezel for a subdued metal feel. In addition, the silver-deposited indexes enhance the contrast of the dial. The stainless steel bezel is beautifully molded in 3D through laborious processes such as forging, cutting and polishing. A fine resin bumper is implemented between the bezel and the case for impact resistance with full metal. In addition, the metal band piece has been subjected to dimple processing and inherits the resin band design of G-SHOCK I. Manufacturing is done at Casio Yamagata mother's factory that created the first generation G-SHOCK. In addition, the GMW-B5000BT and GM-B2100BT stainless steel case has an airtight screwback case.
