Japanese clutch bag (iPad size)

This shimmering clutch bag is made of "nenkin thread" from Nishijin textile in Kyoto. By wrapping the foil around the non-uniform cotton threads, two expressions are created the shining foil and the dyed color. It is usually used for kimono obi band.



The clutch bag was originally conceived as a bag to be used at tea ceremonies attended by people wearing kimonos.

Now it can be used as a fashionable bag with clothes.
