Description (package-insert based)
A Class 3 OTC ophthalmic solution that can be used while wearing contact lenses and also as a lens-insertion (wetting) solution. Contains sodium chondroitin sulfate to protect and moisturize the cornea, plus hypromellose (HPMC) and glucose. Compatible with all lens types (soft, hard, oxygen-permeable, disposable, colored). Gentle formula with minimal stinging.
Indications
• As eye drops: relief of discomfort during soft or hard contact lens wear; supplementation of tear fluid (dry eyes); relief of eye fatigue and blurred vision (e.g., when eye discharge is heavy).
• As insertion drops: facilitates insertion of soft or hard contact lenses.
Dosage and directions
• Eye drops: instill 1–3 drops at a time, 5–6 times daily.
• Insertion drops: apply 1–2 drops to each side of the lens before inserting.
Follow the directions strictly.
Ingredients (per 100 mL)
Potassium chloride 0.08%; Sodium bicarbonate 0.05%; Sodium chloride 0.44%; Hypromellose 0.02%; Glucose 0.02%; Sodium chondroitin sulfate (ester) 0.5%
Additives include boric acid, borax, sodium hyaluronate, polyhexanide HCl, l-menthol, etc.
Precautions (key points)
Consult a doctor/pharmacist before use if you are under medical care, have drug allergies, have severe eye pain, or have been diagnosed with glaucoma.
Stop use and consult if skin rash/redness/itching or ocular redness/itching/swelling/stinging pain occurs.
If blurred vision persists or symptoms do not improve after about two weeks, stop use and seek advice.
