UZUMAKI (swirl pattern)

The hand-embroidered balls have been passed down in Japan for over 800 years. HOMARE's hand-embroidered balls are made using the technique of "Honjo Gotenmari" a traditional craft of Akita Prefecture. Each one is handmade and unique. The creators are mothers from Akita Prefecture and the core is made of rice straw, a natural material from the countryside of Akita.

Honjo Gotenmari has been a traditional gift for auspicious occasions such as weddings, childbirth, moving, and new home celebrations. Enjoy the traditional Japanese handball as a decoration in your room or give it as a gift.
